Symphony Concert
Stadthalle Eislingen, Germany
The Schüler-Symphonie-Orchester Baden-Württemberg brings its 2026 project to the stage with an ambitious and cohesive programme under the baton of Christoph Wagner.
Three Romantic works in E minor make up the evening. It opens with the Overture op. 23 by Louise Farrenc - a piece that stands for the growing recognition of women composers, combining classical form with Romantic expressiveness. Next comes the rarely performed Double Concerto op. 88 by Max Bruch for clarinet and viola, with the spotlight on the refined interplay between soloists Annika Kurz (clarinet) and Raphael Kübler (viola). The concert closes with Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 5 op. 64 - a work of great emotional depth that builds a compelling arc from its brooding opening to a triumphant finale.
