"It ain't over till it's over!"

It all started in 1984, when the band was still called Gypsys, Suns & Rainbows, dedicated to the music of the legendary Jimi Hendrix and the artistic stewardship of his legacy - before evolving into a full-throttle party band that has put audiences in a great mood across dozens of countries.

In between: thousands of concerts around the world. The Gypsys have played corporate events for Allianz, Deutsche Bank, Mercedes, BMW, Thyssen Krupp and many more - in London, Valencia, Zurich, Vienna, Basel, Mallorca, Perugia and Florence, and even at the legendary Montreux Jazz Festival.

They delivered unforgettable parties at the iconic Robinson Clubs Jandia Playa and Esquinzo Playa on Fuerteventura and at Quinta da Ria in Portugal, winning over three generations of guests - and even earning a fan in former German national football coach Jogi Löw. At the Frankfurt music trade fair, the Gypsys served as the backing band for the "Drummers of Tomorrow" competition, searching for the world's best young drummer.

They have also opened for Chuck Berry at the Alte Oper in Frankfurt and warmed up crowds before shows by Klaus Lage, Sweet and Karat. A particular highlight was the concert at Commerzbank Arena during Rockin' 1.000 in front of 15,000 spectators. Another unique chapter was a tour with Chancellor Angela Merkel during her 2009 Bundestag election campaign - which she won, perhaps in part thanks to the musical support...
