Family Concert "Peter and the Wolf"

Just a few notes - and you instantly recognise the theme from Prokofiev's musical fairy tale for children, "Peter and the Wolf". We bring this beloved story to life as a family concert at the Michaeliskirche in Kaltenkirchen. Fun for all ages!

The Winterbeker Kammerorchester from Kiel will be joined by additional wind and percussion players, bringing Sergei Prokofiev's distinctive sound to the full. The fairy tale text will be narrated in Loriot's version!

After the interval, the programme continues with Heinrich Hofmann's Octet in F major for flute, clarinet, horn, bassoon and strings. This colourful four-movement work stands out for its delicate handling of the individual instruments and achieves an almost orchestral richness of sound.
