Der Weg der Steine - Guided Tour
Rathaus Uelzen, Germany

Colourful, exciting and surprising discoveries await at every turn.
Taking this "stony path" through Uelzen is well worth your time!
The Stone Age has arrived in Uelzen: 21 boulders - weighing between two and eight tonnes and some standing over three metres tall - line the route between the railway station designed by Friedensreich Hundertwasser and the town hall.
Every 50 to 100 metres, one of the granite blocks marks the way into the town centre. They were designed and painted with a variety of motifs by German-Swedish artist Dagmar Glemme. In her works she has built her own mythological world - the fantastical creatures that inhabit it, along with the signs and symbols, draw inspiration from shamanism, Native American art, and the legends and mythologies of ancient and distant peoples.
