Music educator Heike Schuhmacher guides visitors through the sound world of the German State Philharmonic Orchestra of Rhineland-Palatinate, accompanying children and adults on a journey of discovery through the orchestra's instruments. All instruments can be touched, explored, and tried out.

During the subsequent tour of the philharmonic building, many questions await: where are the sheet music hidden, who moves the chairs and music stands, and how do the orchestra instruments fit into a large truck when the orchestra travels? There is also a look into the percussion section's treasure chamber.

The experience concludes with a visit to the rehearsal hall - the heart of the philharmonic. There you can sit in the trumpet player's chair or the double bass player's stool, or stand for a moment at the podium of chief conductor Michael Francis.
