Niñxs - Das Leben glitzert

The film follows trans teenager Karla over eight years in Tepoztlán, Mexico. As Karla navigates the transition into adulthood, a moving portrait emerges that captures the challenges of a trans identity in a rural setting. Through candid conversations with filmmaker Kani Lapuerta, a narrative world takes shape where friendship, self-determination and hope take centre stage, and reality blends with fantasy.
