We step into the stinky world of the Olchis - a truly one-of-a-kind family. Poisonous green, with hair as stiff as wire, hearing horns on their heads and big knobbly noses. They live on a large rubbish dump in the charming little town of Schmuddelfing, where they are not only a tourist attraction but also well-liked by most of their neighbours. After all, whoever takes care of the rubbish keeps the town clean. The Olchis love stench, enjoy eating shoe soles and bathe in mud. Flies, rats and toads are their constant companions. Every now and then the seven-member family also takes to the skies on their dragon Feuerstuhl.

How wonderfully smelly and rotten Olchi life could be - if only the local cultural association hadn't set its sights on building a concert hall right where the rubbish dump stands. The Olchis have to go, and fast! Conflict is inevitable.

Luckily, the circus comes to town and the Olchis are invited to the show. They watch in wide-eyed wonder as acrobats, tightrope walkers and clowns perform. There is even a llama to applaud. But nothing captivates them quite like the magician Spirelli, a master of hypnosis like no other. He picks Grandma Olchi as his new assistant, and - whoosh - she ends up in "jumping trousers", obediently following his every command. She even eats a fresh onion and breaks out in colourful blotches all over her body, because anything fresh is poisonous to the Olchis. She would never have done any of this in her right mind. The rest of the Olchis are alarmed and determined to rescue Grandma from the clutches of the shady magician. But how?

Only Professor Brausewein can help - a friendly inventor from Gammelsberg. He has the answer: a specially developed anti-hypnosis spray. Time to move! The mission is clear.
