Planet of the Hares

These two hares have it all: a pool that adjusts its own temperature, swimming trunks that change colour every ten seconds, a four-poster bed guaranteed to deliver rest, and a gummy-bear machine that never stops producing. With modern robots and inventions at their disposal, they can have anything they want. Only one small thing clouds the picture: their planet is set to explode in ten days.
But is that really worth worrying about? Maybe it isn't even true. In eleven days, one of the hares has a pedicure appointment - so it can't be that bad. Yet the other's instinct won't let him rest until he's sure: what's coming is not good. What can the two of them do? Where can they go? How do you stop a big bang?
In Tina Müller's play for children, two hares argue playfully and musically - leaning into their differences - about what they know of climate change. Drawing the audience's world into the story, they search together for a way out of their dilemma.
