The Chiemgau Arena in Ruhpolding is one of Germany's premier biathlon venues, regularly hosting World Cup races on the IBU calendar. The stadium sits in a natural mountain bowl that allows tens of thousands of spectators to watch the shooting range and finish straight at close range. It has also served as a venue for Biathlon World Championships.
