Bad Dürkheim, Germany
The Dürkheimer Riesenfass in Bad Dürkheim is the largest wine barrel in the world, built in 1934 and holding around 1.7 million litres. The barrel is not used for wine storage but houses a restaurant across two floors inside its wooden structure. It is a well-known landmark of the Palatinate wine region and a regular venue for local events and the famous Dürkheimer Wurstmarkt festival.
