About the venue

The E.T.A.-Hoffmann-Theater is Bamberg's municipal theatre, named after the Romantic writer and composer E.T.A. Hoffmann, who worked here as a theatre director in the early 19th century. The current building on Schillerplatz stages a broad repertoire - drama, opera, and musical theatre - and serves as the cultural centrepiece of the city.
