Fagus-Werk

Alfeld, Germany

About the venue

The Fagus-Werk in Alfeld is a UNESCO World Heritage Site - a shoe-last factory designed by Walter Gropius and Adolf Meyer, completed in 1913. It was a landmark of early modernist architecture, famous for its pioneering use of glass curtain walls and steel-frame construction. The factory still operates today and hosts guided tours, exhibitions, and cultural events.
