"Hommage à Astor Piazzolla"

Astor Piazzolla freed tango from its folk roots and fused it with the languages of classical music and jazz. Carrying on that tradition, the Nuevo Tango Quintet - founded in the centenary year of the Argentine master's birth - brings a fresh interpretation of his work to the Fagus-Werk in Alfeld.

Félicien Brut has assembled Piazzolla's favourite instrumentation for the occasion: Thomas Enhco, celebrated for his sensitive yet high-energy piano playing; Thibaut Garcia, who despite his youth already boasts a remarkable international career; Jordan Victoria, first violinist of the Arod Quartet; and Édouard Macarez, principal double bassist of the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France.
