Johannes a Lasco-Bibliothek

Emden, Germany

About the venue

The Johannes a Lasco-Bibliothek in Emden is housed in the late-Gothic Große Kirche, one of the largest hall churches in East Frisia. The building was heavily damaged in World War II and carefully reconstructed; today it serves as a research library for Reformed church history and a cultural venue for concerts, lectures and exhibitions. Its striking brick architecture and the historic organ make it a notable setting for musical events.
