The International Music Autumn kicks off with its opening concert at the historic Marktkirche Unser lieben Frauen in Halle (Saale).
Halle (Saale), Germany
The Marktkirche Unser lieben Frauen is a late-Gothic Lutheran church in the heart of Halle (Saale), built in the 16th century by merging four towers of two older churches. It is closely associated with the reformer Martin Luther, who preached here and whose death mask is preserved in the church. Today it serves as an important concert and cultural venue, regularly hosting organ concerts and choral events.
