Its iconic steel-and-glass pavilion houses a permanent collection of 20th-century European and American art, including works by Picasso, Dalí, and Kirchner. The building underwent a major renovation by David Chipperfield Architects, reopening in 2021. It regularly hosts major temporary exhibitions alongside its permanent collection.
