About the venue

Residenzschloss Sondershausen is a sprawling palace complex in the centre of Sondershausen, Thuringia, that served as the residence of the Princes of Schwarzburg-Sondershausen for several centuries. The building grew over time from a medieval core into an ensemble of Renaissance and Baroque wings. Today it houses a museum, the regional library, and a concert hall, and regularly hosts classical music events - most notably the Loh-Orchester Sondershausen, one of Germany's oldest orchestras.
