Purity on the Tauber - Jewish Life in Rothenburg
A Saturday guided tour through medieval Jewish Rothenburg, from the Judaika collection in the museum to the historic Judengasse and Germany's oldest surviving ritual bath.
Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Germany
The RothenburgMuseum is housed in a former Dominican convent dating back to the 13th century, one of the best-preserved medieval monastery complexes in southern Germany. Its collections cover the town's history, medieval art, and local crafts - including the famous Rothenburg Passion altarpiece. The convent's Gothic cloisters and vaulted halls are themselves a highlight of any visit.

The Tuija Komi Quartet blends classical jazz with Finnish influences, performing works by Finnish composers, original songs, and arrangements from film scores and the "Moomins".

Charly Gitano and his quartet perform two hours of flamenco in the courtyard of the RothenburgMuseum, mixing original songs, Spanish classics and fiesta anthems with dance and zapateado. The ticket covers museum entry on the day.

A weekly guided tour tracing Jewish life in Rothenburg ob der Tauber, from the museum's Judaica collection to a 15th-century mikveh in the medieval Judengasse.

A one-man theater show based on Wolfgang Borchert's tragicomic tale of a lisping uncle and a lisping waiter - a warm, funny story about prejudice and empathy, performed in the RothenburgMuseum courtyard.

Eddy Danco returns to Rothenburg ob der Tauber with a new programme of Irish, Scottish, English and Welsh songs, featuring many pieces not heard in his 2024 show.
