A theater solo with Christian Klischat
(directed by Andreas Mach)
"Schischyphusch oder Der Kellner meines Onkels" by Wolfgang Borchert tells the tragicomic story of two very different men: a rough, world-worn uncle and a timid waiter. Both share a lisp - which at first leads to misunderstandings and mutual hurt. From that friction grows a story that is both touching and funny, exploring vulnerability, prejudice, and what it means to be human. In the end, both men discover that behind outward differences often lie similar wounds - and that compassion can bridge them.
The performance takes place in the courtyard of the RothenburgMuseum. In case of bad weather, we move into the museum's interior.
Please note: your ticket includes admission to the RothenburgMuseum on the day of the event. Feel free to visit the Klosterhof during the day as well!
