The Castle Church in Lutherstadt Wittenberg is one of the most significant Reformation sites in the world. Martin Luther is said to have posted his 95 Theses on its door in 1517, an act that sparked the Protestant Reformation. The church, rebuilt in neo-Gothic style in the 19th century, serves as the burial site of both Luther and Philipp Melanchthon and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
