About the venue

The Stadtmuseum Pirna is housed in a former Dominican monastery in the old town, a building with roots going back to the 13th century. Its permanent collection covers the history of Pirna and the surrounding Saxon Switzerland region, from medieval times through to the 20th century. The museum also hosts temporary exhibitions and cultural events throughout the year.
