Tamara Stefanovich
Pianist Tamara Stefanovich performs a programme conceived as a forest walk, weaving together works by Rameau, Bartók, Messiaen, Liszt and Suk into a single musical arc of light, darkness and memory.
Eisenach, Germany
The Wartburg is a medieval castle above Eisenach, founded in the 11th century and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999. Martin Luther translated the New Testament into German here in 1521-22 while in hiding. The castle also hosted the legendary Minnesänger contests and inspired Richard Wagner's opera Tannhäuser. Today it draws visitors year-round and serves as a backdrop for concerts and cultural events.
