Fat Freddy's Drop is a New Zealand band from Wellington blending soul, reggae, dub, jazz and funk. Formed in the late 1990s, they gained wide recognition with their album Based on a True Story (2005). Their live shows are known for extended improvisations and a powerful, immersive atmosphere.
