Fat Freddy's Drop announce the Based On A True Story 21st Anniversary Tour 2026 - 51 concerts across Australia, Aotearoa (New Zealand), Europe and the UK, during which the band will perform their debut album Based On A True Story live.

The tour marks the group's first series of shows following the sudden death of its founder, Chris "MU" Faiumu. The musicians have decided to continue with the long-planned tour. Vocalist Dallas Tamaira explains: "It's important for us to honour the intentions we shared with MU, and performing this album live is part of that tribute."

The album Based On A True Story was released independently in 2005.
