Jacek Kaczmarski (1957–2004) was a Polish poet, singer-songwriter and bard, widely known as "the voice of Solidarity". His songs, including "Mury", became anthems of the Polish opposition during the communist era. He worked in the tradition of sung poetry, blending lyricism with strong political commitment.
