The Johann Strauss Orchestra is the ensemble of Dutch violinist and conductor André Rieu, with whom he has performed since 1987. Named after Johann Strauss II, the orchestra specialises in waltzes, marches and musical theatre melodies. It is best known for its annual summer concerts on the Vrijthof square in Maastricht, broadcast to cinemas worldwide.
