🎬 Sessions (3)
This is already the 20th broadcast of André Rieu's famous summer concert from Maastricht. In July 2026, the Maestro and his Johann Strauss Orchestra will perform for the twentieth time on Vrijthof – the renowned square in the city centre. The new show is titled "Long Live Maastricht!" and is a tribute to Rieu's hometown, where the first such open-air concert took place 20 years ago.
The programme will feature waltzes and marches by Johann Strauss the Elder and Younger, songs from the musicals "My Fair Lady" and "Les Misérables", as well as "Gabriel's Oboe" by Ennio Morricone from the film "The Mission". The stage will feature the Platinum Tenors, internationally renowned sopranos, and artists who have never before performed at Vrijthof.
The broadcast for Polish audiences will be hosted by Maja Jasińska – flautist of the Johann Strauss Orchestra. Her presentation will include behind-the-scenes footage and an exclusive interview with André Rieu filmed specially for Polish cinema audiences.
