Lucjan Rydel (1870–1918) was a Polish poet, playwright and translator of the Young Poland movement. He is best known as the real-life model for the Bridegroom in Stanisław Wyspiański's drama "Wesele" (The Wedding), inspired by his actual marriage to Jadwiga Mikołajczykówna in 1900 in Bronowice near Kraków.
