KINOMUZEUM | "History Without Censorship" - Consequence in Stencil and Life | Meeting with Czarnobyl and Lecture on His Work | URBAN ART AREA 6

A meeting with Damian Terlecki, known by the pseudonym CZARNOBYL - a Polish visual artist born in 1974 who grew up in Jarosław and has lived and worked in Berlin since the early 1990s. The artist himself will lead the event.

During the lecture, Czarnobyl will discuss his artistic journey and the stencil as the primary language of his creative practice - how chaos, memory, and precision combine to create works that tell specific stories. The artist's remarks will be accompanied by a presentation of archival photographs and film materials. He will also explain how he defines his art, its function, and its relationship with the viewer.

Terlecki's work originates from street art but has long transcended its boundaries. His multilayered stencils in shades of grey, applied to rough surfaces, create detailed portraits of people, mechanical illustrations, and abstract patterns. The artist's works have become part of the canon of street art worldwide - from Indonesia to the United States - and reproductions of his pieces have appeared in numerous significant publications dedicated to street art.

The meeting takes place as part of the Urban Art Area 6 film projection cycle at KINOMUZEUM near the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw. Free admission, limited capacity.
