"Balladyna'68" retells the story of the heroine from Słowacki's drama through the lens of the Wasowski-Przybora duo (Kabaret Starszych Panów), with their signature wit and irony. Jeremi Przybora has "simplified and shortened" the masterpiece for those who "haven't read it but would like to discover one of the greatest works of Polish dramatic literature". The libretto, set to music by Jerzy Wasowski, creates a cabaret form that the authors themselves ironically dubbed a "musical".
