FUTUROFONIA FESTIVAL - workshops for children up to 6 years old
Opera Bałtycka w Gdańsku, Poland
The workshops explore sound - from classical compositions for voice and piano, through artistic abstraction, to contemporary experiments. The programme features unconventional playing techniques, including performances on piano strings and instruments prepared with various objects, while the vocal layer introduces contemporary voice emission, body percussion, and improvisation.
The programme includes performances from the last 70 years, referencing the roots of classical music, world premieres of works previously unknown in Poland, and a collaboratively created world premiere with participant involvement. A showcase of graphic scores aims to inspire children to create their own musical maps.
The workshops are conducted in English with Polish translation. The group for children up to 6 years with guardians is limited to a maximum of 20 participants (parents/guardians must be present). All younger children must have a guardian or parent with them.
Participants should wear non-slip socks.
