Katie is in first grade. She likes: biting, bad words, and theatre - because in theatre you can imagine being someone else. She dislikes: Itching that won't go away, and a disease that can't be explained.

Katie has a family: Mum, Dad, and Lloyd (like the one from Lego Ninjago) - and they call in a whole team of superheroes. From then on, Dermicream (big, white, and greasy like sausage at Easter), feisty Purafin, yawning Hipolycin, and ruthless Diet try in every way to defeat the terrible, spiky, itchy monster named AZS.

Inspired by true events, this story about atopic dermatitis is a funny and touching tale of living with something that constantly gets in the way. About parents who do everything, yet so often feel helpless. About a younger brother learning empathy. And about a girl who, despite pain, shame, and loneliness, finds the strength of a warrior within herself.

The show tells children and adults that it's okay to be afraid and feel weak - and yet not give up and fight like a true superhero.
