King Maciuś I - Musical Fairy Tale for Orchestra, Choir and Soloists — Polish Radio Concert Studio named after Witold Lutosławski in Warsaw, Warsaw
Description was written before the event

The musical fairy tale "King Maciuś I" is a performance for orchestra, choir and soloists, based on the work of Janusz Korczak. The music was composed by Jerzy Rogiewicz (composer of music for the series "1670"), and the text adaptation was prepared by Grzegorz Uzdański. The story of a child who takes the throne and rebuilds a country destroyed by war is told through ten songs interspersed with narration - including "Crown", "A Pound of Chocolate" and "Exchange".

The stage will feature the Young Kuyavia and Pomerania Symphony Orchestra and the Pomeranian Philharmonic Children's Choir with soloists. The composer himself will conduct. Illustrations were prepared by Iwona Chmielewska, animations by Jan Chmielewski.

Duration: 70 minutes. Tickets priced at 90 PLN are available for online purchase and at the box office of the Witold Lutosławski Polish Radio Concert Studio one hour before the concert, subject to availability.

The concert is co-financed by the budget of the Kuyavia-Pomerania Voivodeship.
