Jassmine 6th Birthday: Joe Armon-Jones

Joe Armon-Jones returns to Jassmine after years away - with new material and the same energy as before. A keyboardist, producer and composer from south London, graduate of the Tomorrow's Warriors programme and founding member of the BRIT Award-winning Ezra Collective. His virtuosity and improvisational talent have led to collaborations on projects spanning jazz, dub, electronics, pop and hip-hop.

He launched his solo discography in 2018 with the album Starting Today (Gilles Peterson's Brownswood Recordings), and a year later released Turn To Clear View - a blend of jazz, funk and rap featuring Georgia Anne Muldrow and Obongjayar, which Time magazine named among the year's ten best albums. In 2021 he founded his own label, Aquarii Records; subsequent projects include the EP A Way Back (2022, recorded with Mala) and Archetype (2023, with Maxwell Owino). In 2025 he launched the two-part opus All The Quiet.

An afterparty follows the concert - Filip Kalinowski will play a special set. Entry to the afterparty from 22:30 is free.
