Wieczorynka 404 // Teatr Fatamorgana
Working Stage in Poznań, Poland
When did we stop being children - and are we sure we did? Where did our innate spontaneity, curiosity, honesty and openness go?
Not so long ago we were discovering the secrets of grandmother's cupboard, building castles, splashing in puddles and eating kissel. Today we are busy, tired, expected to be careful and responsible. We just never seem to have enough time.
"Wieczorynka 404" is a variety show by an animation theatre, made up of a cycle of interconnected miniatures - a mosaic story for pure joy and respite, told through twisted tales, invented stories, puppets and strange objects. Fairy tales for children in adult bodies.
Teatr Fatamorgana is an independent collective of travelling artists exploring drama, puppetry, shadow theatre, visual arts, object theatre and upcycling. A project initiated in Poland, now spanning between Poznań, British Columbia and the rest of the world. The theatre has realised projects in Poland, Malaysia, Mexico, Tanzania and Canada. Its members include: Anastasiia Miedviedieva, Paula Mac, Nikon Miedviediev and Oleh Nesterov.
