André Rieu Cinema Concert - "Long Live Maastricht!"
Miejski Ośrodek Kultury i Sztuki w Oleśnicy, Oleśnica, Poland
In July 2026, André Rieu and his Johann Strauss Orchestra will perform for the twentieth time on Vrijthof - the famous square in Maastricht. In autumn, this jubilee concert will reach cinemas worldwide, including Poland.
The new show "Long Live Maastricht!" is a tribute to the Maestro's hometown, where it all began 20 years ago. The programme features waltzes and marches by Johann Strauss the Elder and Younger, songs from the musicals "My Fair Lady" and "Les Misérables", as well as "Gabriel's Oboe" by Ennio Morricone from the film "The Mission". On Vrijthof, audiences will see the Platinum Tenors, internationally renowned sopranos, and stars who have never performed on this square before.
Polish viewers will be guided by Maja Jasińska - flautist of the Johann Strauss Orchestra. She will provide behind-the-scenes insights and show an exclusive interview with André Rieu recorded specially for Polish cinema audiences.
