Osiem Dni Teatr / incredible Slavicness / directed by Katya Egorova, Tati Lemesheva, Henryk Mazurkiewicz

Katya is Russian, Tati is Ukrainian, and Henryk is Belarusian. The audience consists mainly of Polish women and men. Someone among them could have ended up on stage instead of this trio - but common fears came true: we've taken this job away from you/them as well.

The performance is an authorial and deeply personal initiative born from the need to express - to whisper, shout, cry out, purge - something essential about themselves and about Slavic peoples. The programme consists of scenes, confessions, recordings, songs, and moments of interaction with the audience, creating a mosaic of what happens between four nations here and now - with full awareness that this "here and now" has its roots and premises. The creators address controversial topics while trying to avoid journalistic haste.
