Chaos / Aurora Lubos

"Chaos" is a solo performance in which the title word functions simultaneously as both theme and tool - a collection of images, sounds, and gestures that "can no longer be unseen" and "can no longer be forgotten". The starting point is the experience of crisis: a moment when the existing order ceases to function and new rules have not yet emerged. Chaos becomes here a language for what cannot be put into words - shock, pain, a sense of fragmentation.

Aurora Lubos is an independent artist from Gdańsk connected for 30 years to the Tri-City and British art scene. She creates solo performances, installations, performances, short animations, audiovisual programmes, and videos. Her most significant works include: "Acts" - a performance based on true stories of people who experienced domestic violence; "From Water" - a performance realized on the beach in Sopot on the Day of Solidarity with Refugees; "Welcome/Welcome" - a performance about the 2015 migration crisis, inspired by time spent on the Slovenia-Austria border; and "Lament" - a performance dedicated to Gaza. From 2000-2024 she was a performer with the British theatre Vincent Dance Theatre. Since 2019 she has been a co-founder and member of the Arbuz Association, which works to support refugees and people with limited access to education and art. In 2021-2022, as a volunteer with the Homo Faber Association and later the Granica Group, she actively participated in humanitarian aid on the Polish-Belarusian border - from these experiences came "Postcards from the Border", "Border", and "Shelter".

The performance is co-financed by the Pomeranian Voivodeship and the Arbuz Association.
