My Island

A pantomime performance written and directed by Bartłomiej Ostapczuk. Somewhere in the midst of infinity - an island. Perhaps born from a dream, perhaps from longing. On it, a person. Or perhaps many people.

"My Island" is a poetic story without words that guides the audience through human emotions - from solitude to the strength of friendship, from doubt to the courage to face challenges. The performance speaks of how sometimes it is hard to be together, but even harder to be alone. Of the desire to dream and belief in something greater, sometimes as distant as the horizon.

The creators use the means of expression characteristic of pantomime: movement, image, light and sound interweave into clear metaphors and symbols. The island becomes a space of inner journeys and encounters - a place where hope is born and care for the world and for another person takes on visible form.
