Historia dna is a narrative that cannot be told by words alone - so Maria Skorwider enriched it with her own illustrations and music.
Skorwider says she loves people with mental health disorders most - people like herself. She often called the psychiatric hospital her second home, and from her first hospitalization onwards she worked there as a reporter, journalist, or writer. More than two years of her 44-year life span twelve hospitalizations in various psychiatric facilities.
Between successive "stays" she constantly tried to cope with the stigmatizing verdict. Can a sick person be valuable? She will draw something, take care of something, write something, sing something, play, dance, try her hand at something.
