Wadium - Spaces of Art Dance

On October 9, 2026 at 18:00 at the Kielce Dance Theatre, the premiere of the performance "WADIUM" in the choreography of Andrei Kamaru will take place. A one-act performance, duration approximately 50 minutes.

The starting point is a question: why do we participate in systems whose rules we do not understand or which act against us? The inspiration is Aldous Huxley's vision, in which the individual submits to the system not out of coercion, but out of a need for belonging. The performance was created through a research process concerning power structures and selection mechanisms - selected concepts are not illustrated directly, but tested in action: in the body, in relationships, and in time.

The action takes place in a space resembling an archive and takes the form of an auction in which the stake is not an object, but the right to occupy a place. The mechanics of the game of musical chairs gradually reveals a key paradox: the outcome does not depend on the actions of the participants - it exists beforehand or can be changed at any moment. The system persists through the participants themselves: their need to be noticed, their fear of exclusion, and their desire to adapt.

The performance will feature artists of the Kielce Dance Theatre: Sylwia Bartoszewska, Małgorzata Boruń, Julia Domagalska, Dominika Gajos, Zuzanna Gil, Alicja Horwath-Maksymow, Małgorzata Kowalska, Natalia Łomińska, Marta Starostecka, Natalia Sornat, Zuzanna Tatarowska, Roksana Wieczorek, Kamila Zimnowoda, Nikodem Bardzki, Marcel Grzelak, Mikołaj Jabłoński, Kamil Kuca, Tomasz Ryś, Karol Sawulski, Marek Szajnar, Mikołaj Wojtachnio, Kamil Zdańkowski, as well as independent guest artists: Pamela Bosak, Palina Chapulianets, Piotr Abramowicz, Dariusz Bujnowski, Dawid Pieróg, Mateusz Wróblewski.

The premiere of "Wadium" is realized as part of the Spaces of Art Dance program as a Large Format Premiere.
