IX Academic Concert - From Bach to Gershwin
Świętokrzyska Philharmonic named after Oskar Kolberg in Kielce, Poland
The ninth edition of the Academic Concert series "From Bach to Gershwin" combines symphonic music with a thematic lecture. Before the musical performance, Dr. Agata Michalska from the Faculty of Health Sciences at Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce will deliver a lecture titled "How Sound Becomes Energy - Neurobiological Foundations of Music Therapy".
The musical programme features: Ludwig van Beethoven & Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Medley, Johann Sebastian Bach Chorale "Jesus bleibet meine Freude" from Cantata No. 147, Frédéric Chopin Prelude in C minor op. 28 No. 20 and Mazurka in D major op. 33 No. 3, and after the intermission: Frédéric Chopin Etude in F minor op. 25 No. 2, Krzysztof Komeda Song from the film "Rosemary's Baby", Filip Wojciechowski "Moments" and George Gershwin Medley.
Performers: Filip Wojciechowski (piano), Paweł Pańta (double bass), Piotr Biskupski (percussion), Świętokrzyska Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra conducted by Bohdan Jarmołowicz.
