The Unexpected Return

In the play "The Unexpected Return," Daniel Olbrychski portrays an actor preparing to play King Lear. The anxiety and hopes tied to such a major acting challenge are familiar to him – he has faced them himself while performing leading roles in Shakespeare's plays.

The backdrop for the protagonist's inner turmoil is a web of complicated family relationships: troubles with partners, parents, and children. An important character is the main hero's son, played by Tomasz Karolak – an actor known from numerous television and film productions.
