A concert marking the end of the season for the Polish Radio Orchestra in Warsaw. The programme features Mendelssohn and Brahms: the Hebrides overture, Violin Concerto in E minor op. 64, and Symphony No. 2 in D major op. 73. The evening's soloist is violinist Jakub Jakowicz, and the orchestra will be conducted for the first time by Jacek Kaspszyk.
The past season included celebrations of the 100th anniversary of Polish Radio and the 80th anniversary of the Orchestra, world premieres of new works by Hanna Kulenty and Marta Ptaszyńska, first performances of previously unknown orchestral compositions by Wayne Shorter, and a new symphony of Polish film music by Bartosz Chajdecki. The orchestra performed at the Copernicus Science Centre, the Warsaw Ghetto Museum, the planetarium, and a prison, and also appeared at the Fremde Erde festival in Vienna and the Crazy Days of Music in Warsaw.

Tickets are available at the box office of the Witold Lutosławski Concert Studio of Polish Radio one hour before the concert, subject to availability. Seats for persons with disabilities are not equipped with armchairs.
