Krzysztof Skiba: "Radio Wolny Budapeszt" – Stand-up Show

Krzysztof Skiba presents his new stand-up show "Radio Wolny Budapeszt" – 90 minutes of uncensored, politically incorrect humour rooted in the absurdities of everyday life, current events, and his own experiences on stage. The show is intended for adult audiences only.
Skiba is a satirist, columnist, showman, radio presenter, vocalist, and lyricist (credits include Makumba, Dres, Świat według Kiepskich, and Berlin Zachodni). For 37 years he has performed with the band Big Cyc, with whom he has recorded 20 albums (total sales exceeding 3 million copies) and played over four thousand concerts. He has also released two solo albums: Wąchole (1998) and Skiba dla dorosłych (2003).
In the 1980s he was an organiser of the anti-establishment happenings of the Pomarańczowa Alternatywa movement and an activist in underground anti-communist groups (Ruch Społeczeństwa Alternatywnego, Ruch "Wolność i Pokój"). In 2013 he was awarded the Cross of Freedom and Solidarity by the President of Poland on the recommendation of the IPN. In 1990 he was named best lyricist of the year, and in 2006 the weekly "Polityka" ranked him among the 10 best showmen in Poland.
He has appeared in over 600 television programmes and hosted entertainment shows on TVP2 and Polsat (including Lalamido, Podróże z żartem, Uwaga Hotel, and Mini Szansa). He has dubbed comedy films and provided voices for video games (including Fallout 3). He has published columns in CKM, "Gazeta Wyborcza", and the weekly "Wprost"; he currently writes the Skiba Kulturalnie column in "Tygodnik Angora". He has collaborated with Jedynka, Radio Wawa, and AntyRadio.
He has published several books, including the essay collection Skibą w Mur (Zysk, 2006), Opowiadania podwodne (Zysk, 2009), Artyści, wariaci, anarchiści (NCK, 2010), Komisariat naszym domem. Pomarańczowa historia (NCK, 2015), the autobiography Skiba ciągle na wolności. Autobiografia łobuza (SQN, 2018), the pandemic essay collection Polska bez gaci (Arbitror, 2021), and the latest collection of satirical stories Kobiety są naiwne (2024).
