Theatre Kąt recreates the linear narrative of Steinbeck's novel, translating it through the plastic language of space and time. The stage of the drama is a simple wooden "cage" - a cube within which the relationships between characters unfold. Stepping outside this space frees the actor from emotion, leaving them as a detached observer. The exception lies in three symbolic figures - the "Moirai" - who on the horizon of the stage measure out the threads of life and from "beyond" intervene in the drama, suspending time.
