Kinior, Balon and Pan Tomek
Pałacyk Zielinskiego w Kielcach, Kielce
Kinior, Balon and Pan Tomek is a trio playing saxophone, bass guitar and drums. In their repertoire they blend rock with funk, reggae and jazz, and their lyrics are based on the work of Jacek Bieleński.
Włodzimierz "Kinior" Kiniorski is a multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer who has been active on the Polish alternative scene since the 1980s. He comes from a jazz background (especially free jazz), but his work also encompasses reggae, ethnic music, electronic and theatrical music. He co-founded or collaborated with bands such as Izrael, Brygada Kryzys, Tie Break and Young Power, as well as with artists of the calibre of Tomasz Stańko, Michał Urbaniak, Stanisław Sojka and Grzegorz Ciechowski.
The trio is completed by Dariusz "Balon" Adriańczyk – a guitarist who co-founded Moskwa and Plastic Bag – and Tomasz "Pan Tomek" Dąbrowski, who has been associated with the Świętokrzyskie Wind Orchestra Movement for many years as a saxophonist, percussionist and conductor.
