Teatr Wielki im. Stanisława Moniuszki in Poznań presents AIDA by Giuseppe Verdi on Wednesday 10 June 2026 at 18:00. This is the first of five Polish performances of the production — further dates follow in autumn in Gdańsk, Warsaw, Świerklaniec and Bydgoszcz. Directed by Marek Weiss and conducted by Marco Guidarini, the opera tells a story of love and betrayal in ancient Egypt, filled with drama, beautiful arias and striking scenes. The production premiered in 2001 and remains a cornerstone of the opera repertoire.
