Arabela is a family show that blends the world of fairy tales with reality, combining a classic adventure story with humor and contemporary commentary. Inspired by the cult Czechoslovak television series from the 1980s.

When television actor Mr. Majer accidentally stumbles into a fairy-tale land, a seemingly minor accident triggers a cascade of events. Rumburak, a second-rate sorcerer, incites a rebellion against the hierarchy and rules of the fairy-tale world, while also influencing the human realm. At the same time, the impossible happens: the fairy-tale princess Arabela and the decidedly non-fairy-tale Petr fall in love. Their love is tested by Rumburak's intrigues, the ambitions of the royal sister Ksenia, and the schemes of a certain wicked witch — and what is at stake is not only the happiness of the heroes, but also the future of both worlds.

The show poses surprisingly timely questions: what is power and rebellion, where is the line between truth and manipulation, and is the world of fairy tales really less "real" than our own.
