Empire of the Sun is an Australian electronic pop duo formed in 2007, consisting of Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore. Known for their elaborate costumes and theatrical live performances, they blend synth-pop, new wave and psychedelic influences. Their debut album Walking on a Dream (2008) brought them international recognition.
